Unicode is really a huge conspiracy involving lots of Evil American Companies Bent on Taking Over the World, as exposed in nonpartisan anti-American pro-Japan activist Steven J. Searle's seminal web exposé Unicode Revisited.

An alternative view is that Unicode is God's way of speaking to us from the depths of the earth, wherein he resides at the planet's fiery core.
