Langmaker
From KneeQuickie
Langmaker.com is a website created by Jeffrey Henning as a conlang directory. The program Langmaker/Win was one of the first applications with a built-in sound change applier and can be found at http://www.langmaker.com/langmake/.
Although Mr. Henning does a useful service by listing conlangs, he tends to set the bar a little bit low when it comes to what is a language. For example, although the Old Tongue may not be well executed, and lacks any real grammar, it 'is' a conlang, and would make sense to be listed. However, other listings, such as Pokemon Names and Pig Latin, which are well known, but are not languages by any sense of the word, the former being simply a few names--a so-called "naming language"--and the latter being a cipher of English. They sit right beside masterpieces such as Ithkuil and Axunashin, and rank higher on the warped Top 100 200 List! Which just goes to show that popularity contests aren't the best way to measure anything.
Jeffrey Henning has not been seen on his Wiki since August 2006 and in his absence the Wiki software has developed bugs similar to those which developed on the KQ in May 2007. Also, the front page, which is intended to show news, has been frozen for nearly a year.
