The Estri concircle

My most heavily relied-on conscript, made at the age of 12 or so-- the earliest thing I would ever release in a serious context. Also called 'Brenna Language,' or 'I Promise I Hadn't Heard of Tengwar at the Time.' I get the most use out of it with my diary, when I don't want it to be read, or when I don't particularly want to look at the words myself.

The full list of characters is proudly on display in my concircle, and an explanation of them will be made here. Starting from ")" on the outer edge, going clockwise: /h Z D T f z b ks* p r m S t dZ n w d v g k tS n j s l/

The inner 3 rows (of 5, 3, and 5 letters) are the vowels. According to Ozymandias (left to right, top to bottom):

/eI { A O E/ ~ /OI @ aI/ ~ /oU u i I U/

Note that I am too ignorant at present to verify these transcriptions myself. Bah.

As implied in the Tengwar reference, the vowel marks are placed over the following consonant. The end result looks a little like this. People who actually look at it closely may discover my habit of writing the words 'out of order,' or writing the vowels AFTER the consonants underneath. I got started doing this when I had some spacing issues and didn't leave myself enough room for them if I did it the 'right' way.

...Not much else to it, really. It's written horizontally, left to right and top to bottom. Looks nicer with a calligraphy pen than a regular one. I just feel like I should have more to say.

*Yeah. I have an X. I did originally know better, but I had to write the initials 'FX' for someone who wanted his username done, and... yeah. That's my story.
